In one line

At Par keeps your UK company's books closed and reconciled, keeps your records ready for Making Tax Digital, reconciles your VAT, reviews your Xero, prepares your corporation-tax and self-assessment returns, and answers your finance questions — with a qualified accountant accountable. At Par prepares; you (or your agent) file. It never moves your money.

Making Tax Digital is live — are your records keeping up?

MTD for Income Tax started on 6 April 2026 for self-employed people and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000, and phases in further at over £30,000 (April 2027) and over £20,000 (April 2028). MTD for VAT is already mandatory.

At Par keeps your records digital and reconciled and prepares your quarterly updates and returns. You — or your agent — submit through MTD-compatible software. At Par prepares; you file.

7 Aug 2026 The first quarterly update deadline covers 6 April to 5 July 2026. If your qualifying income was over £50,000, this one is yours — At Par gets the records there.

Rules current as of 27 July 2026. Source: GOV.UK / HMRC. Confirm your own start date with HMRC or your agent.

Your VAT under MTD, reconciled.

MTD for VAT means digital records and a digital link to submission. At Par reconciles your VAT return to your books before it's filed, so what's submitted matches your ledger and your bank.

On Xero? At Par reviews and closes over it.

You don't switch systems. At Par connects to the Xero you already keep, reviews it, reconciles the exceptions and closes each month — so month-end is correct, not a question mark.

Corporation tax and self-assessment, prepared.

At Par closes the year, prepares your corporation-tax (CT600) and self-assessment figures and the reconciled accounts behind them, and hands you a filing-ready package.

You — or your agent — file with HMRC and Companies House. At Par does not provide audit or assurance services; it prepares your books and returns, and a qualified accountant is accountable for the work.
