Does your filed VAT return match your books?
Before you submit on EmaraTax, your return should tie to the invoices, bank and ledger behind it. At Par reconciles it each period, so what you file is what your books actually say.
An ACCA is accountable. The finance team you don't hire.
Reviewing your VAT return means reconciling it to the invoices, bank and ledger behind it before you file on EmaraTax. At Par checks that your output and input VAT tie to your books each tax period, then hands you a return you can authorize and file. At Par prepares; you authorize and file.
What this means for your books.
What does it mean to review a VAT return?
It means proving the return ties to the invoices, bank and ledger behind it, not just filling in the boxes.
Your return reports the output VAT on your sales and the input VAT you reclaim on costs. A review reconciles those totals back to your sales invoices, purchase records and bank, so the figure on EmaraTax matches your books. Where a number does not tie, At Par finds it before you file, not after.

When is my VAT return due?
The return and the payment are both due by the 28th of the month after your tax period ends.
Most businesses file quarterly. The FTA assigns monthly periods to larger businesses, generally those with annual turnover of about AED 150 million or more. Reconciling early in the period leaves room to fix a mismatch before the deadline, because late filing and late payment attract FTA administrative penalties.

How does UAE e-invoicing change this?
As e-invoicing comes in, your invoice fields must match what you report, so reconciliation matters more, not less.
When invoice data is reported in a structured way, any gap between your invoices and your return shows up faster. At Par keeps your invoices and your VAT return in step each period. Note: At Par is not a UAE e-invoicing Accredited Service Provider (ASP). We reconcile your books to your return; your accredited provider handles the transmission.

Who checks the return, and who files it?
A qualified accountant (ACCA) is accountable for the review; you authorize and file on EmaraTax.
At Par prepares and reconciles the return, and a qualified accountant (ACCA) is accountable for the work. You review it, authorize it and submit it yourself. At Par never moves your money and never files on your behalf, so the final submission and any payment to the FTA are always yours.
One document in. Recorded, with its evidence.
Read, checked twice, recorded.
It balances · evidence attached · append-only. At Par records it — you still authorize the payment.
At Par prepares. Two checks agree. You authorize.
Two checks must agree before anything is recorded. Evidence on every figure. Append-only records. A qualified accountant (ACCA) is accountable. You authorize everything that moves money — At Par never moves it. At Par prepares your filings; you or your authorised tax agent submit them through the official channel.
Priced against the hire, not the software.
A qualified accountant in Dubai typically costs AED 10,000–20,000 a month. At Par is a fraction of that — the accountant and the accounting system in one, an ACCA accountable.

Asked by UAE businesses.
Do you do audit? +
No. We do not provide audit or assurance services. We reconcile your VAT return to your books so it is audit-ready and helps reduce audit risk. If you need an audit, your own auditor performs it.
Does At Par file my return or move my money? +
No. At Par prepares and reconciles your VAT return; you authorize and file it on EmaraTax yourself. At Par never moves your money, so the submission and any payment to the FTA are always made by you.
What does a VAT return review cost? +
Books start from AED 1,900 a month. Books plus tax, which includes your VAT return review, is AED 3,900 a month. Larger or more complex businesses are priced against the hire you would otherwise make. Every engagement starts with a 30-day paid pilot.
What if my VAT return does not match my books? +
That is exactly what the review catches. At Par reconciles the return to your invoices, bank and ledger each period and shows you where a figure does not tie, so you can correct it before you file rather than after. Your records are kept for at least five years.
